Be aware, if you want to buy 7800 GTX or GT than be sure that you dont own a AMD X2 or any other dual Core cpu cause you propably wont be able to play games with the Forceware 8X.XX Series.
I dont think that Nvidia can fix this problem cause it exists since month and there is no fix. Maybe it is Hardware related and cant be fixed. Every time you play any kind of Source Games oder other new Games you will earn a BSOD from your 600 Euros Card. At least this is what happens to me and my friends. I tried Forceware 81.95 WHQL today, problem is still the same... i will sell it over ebay and go with X800XT maybe than i can play the actuel games without restarting pc every 5 mins with Blue screens and crashes Oh yes, sure you can use Forcewar 7X.XX but you can forget it for new games... and i want to play only new games when i buy a 600 Euros Card Thx for ignoring my waste of money in this "flagship". some official statement would be nice |
