Hello,
This is my first post in this forum, so I apologize if I'm posting in the wrong section. Ever since I bought my new computer a few months ago I've been having this problem. Sometimes, either when watching a movie (any codec can cause it) or even when using the music program Sibelius, the screen will show this weird patterns (see pictures) and the computer will freeze. I cannot reproduce the problem on command, so I have no idea what could be causing it. I tried updated nvidia drivers, outdated drivers, unplugging peripherals, reinstalling XP, SP2, SP3... and all sorts of "shots in the dark", without any results. The problem appears when I least expect it, and, as I said before, there is nothing that I can think of as a recurring situation in which this is likely to happen, other than watching movies or using Sibelius.
