TO ALL!!!
DO NOT INSTALL THE 175.19 WHQL DRIVERS AS THEY HAVE MANY ISSUES WITH THEM. I FOR ONE STARTED GETTING THE "DRIVER STOPPED RESPONDING ERROR" AND THE NVLDDMKM ERROR BSOD. IF U WANT GOOD DRIVERS I RECOMMEND THE 175.16 WHQL DRIVERS, THEY ARE FASTER THEN THE 175.19 WHQL DRIVERS AND DO NOT HAVE THE "DRIVER HAS STOPPED RESPONDING ERROR" OR THE NVLDDMKM ERROR BSOD. IF U ALREADY INSTALLED THIS DRIVER I RECOMMEND U DO A FULL SYSTEM RE-INSTALL AS JUST UNINSTALLING FROM DEVICE MANAGER OR ADD & REMOVE PROGRAMS DOESN'T FIX THE PROBLEM, EVEN USING DRIVER CLEANER PRO AND GURU3D DRIVER SWEEPER AFTER THE UNINSTALL DOESN'T WORK, FOR WHAT EVER REASON I DON'T KNOW. I HAD TO RE-INSTALL VISTA UNTIMATE 64-BIT 4 TIMES TO FIGURE THIS OUT. I HOPE NO ONE HAS THIS ISSUE HAPPEN TO THEM. Sorry for the caps. i just wanted to make it very clear to everyone about the issues with the 175.19 drivers, NVIDIA should really remove them from the download section. i hope no one has to go through the pain i did. hope i help some people who are thinking about installing the 175.19 WHQL and wats going to happen after the installation.

well for me it seemed to work. i can play BF2142 without the game crashing or with the BSOD, but the game did freeze just now on me, who knows wat caused it. and i did get a BSOD when running my CPU @ 4.24GHz with my ram running at 1134MHz 5-5-5-15 (2.14v in BIOS) but then when i run my CPU @ 4.00GHz with my ram at 1080MHz 5-5-5-15 (2.14v in BIOS) vista runs perfect. so i dont know wats wrong.

These drivers seem to do something that permanently damages the card. I have never seen anything so bad, and Microsoft let it slip through.

Indeed. I think they only take the money for the WHQL certification and do half-assed testing. |
