You, me and about 15 other posters here. Hopefully this will get their attention. It seems to only happen in x64 XP. Like you this is the first driver for my 8800 to do this. It seems they are getting a little sloppy. Otherwise the driver works great!

First time a driver has correctly detected the timings on my LCD - no blurry text on boot-up. But I need my CSAA and nHancer doesn't like this driver so back to my old ones. thumbsdown.gif

I have the same problem in XP64

The only difference is I am still running a 7900GS. One tries to enter the CP Get a Blue screen:

SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

STOP: 0x0000003B(0x0000000008000003,0xFFFFFADFC40899B0,0x0000000000000000)

This is the first BSOD I have ever recieved from Nvidia.

Odd thing even trying System restore without going into safe mode also prompted the same BSOD.

That is the exact error I have. So it would seem it happens regardless of video card, the only common denominator seems to be x64 XP.

God... So much trouble just to play some damn Lost Planet...
The techies there told me to get the beta drivers. So I got the forceware, boot it up in my Mac Pro w/ XP64bit installed and BAM!

I got blue screen and it restarted. /repeat.
I thought I had to format my computer but that God it booted up when I said use the last good setting.

I'm running Mac Pro 8core(3.0ghz) w/ 7300GT installed + Windows XP 64bit.

Hopefully nvidia fixes this soon =)

I just saw that nVidia removed the 162.15 driver from the BETA download section due to problems with XP64.

"Due to a problem with the v162.15 Windows XP and Windows XP 64-bit Beta drivers, they have been removed for download. We will be replacing these drivers with new fixed drivers shortly."

The blue screen of death also happens on the xp 32bit version (probably why those were removed also). After installing and removing these drives in safe mode (only way i was able to get my computer restarting again after installing these beta drivers) the nvidia control panel refuses to load for the old drivers also now. Not sure why but it seems the uninstaller leaves parts of the beta drivers and control panel behind now the nvidia control panel can't be accessed at all, my computer crashes after playing any video for a minute or more and if launching a game it will only run for a few minutes then it will lock the computer up totally. I'm running a bfg 7800 GS-OC agp card. I've been looking around on the forums for fixes and stumbled on this thread and thought i should post here about the issues i've had with the beta drivers.
