Problem: 8600GT Freeze randomly in 3D gaming, played for 30min~1hr, freeze, music loop Options

CPU: AMD64x2 3800+
RAM: 1Gb Kingston Ram x 2 (total 2Gb) dual-channel
Harddisk: Western Digital 250Gb
CD/DVD ROM Drives: Two
Display: Foxconn GeForce 8600GT
Power Supply: Delta ServerPower 460W
windows version: XP PRO SP2

ALL ARE NEWLY PURCHASED.
ALL DRIVERS ARE THE MOST UPDATED ONES.

TESTS: 3DMarks 06, no problem ; Memtest, no problem

When on desktop, you visit websites or listen to music or use MicrosoftWord, there is no problem.
When you open a 3D game, you get problems.

I have read dozens of posts on the web. It seems that I am not the only one who experience freezing on 8600GT....

1. You open a 3D game, e.g. Medieval2: total War
2. You play for half an hour or even more. The graphics are quite fluent! Cool!
3. Suddenly you find that the screen is suddenly freezed, but the music is going on.
4. After 5~20sec, the music starts to loop, looping a part of music
5. you are forced to restart the com; sometimes the screen even turns blue and restart automatically
6. when you login into windows, the com said "you have recovered from serious errors", letting you to choose to report to Microsoft
7.after you have sent the error report, the Microsoft website says that you have a problem with device drivers / graphic cards (these 2 error types will appear randomly: this time you get "graphic card problem", next time you get "device driver problem")
8. you go to Nvidia and download the latest driver and install it; still, the problem occur.




I wanna know:
1. Are there anybody on this forum who are actually experencing similar things with me?
2. Are there any possible solutions?( some say disable acpi some say disable SLI..... )
3. Is the problem actually still unsolved officially in the latest drivers or is the card a "bad" design, not very stable somethimes?
