Blue Screen Crashes Options

I don't know if this is the right location for this but I'm posting anyway.

I have been getting random blue screen crashes every since I tried to run the Games for Windows Live Client. The screen flickers black and then back to normalish then black and so on untill a blue screen and a restart. If I log back in right away it will blue screen again. If i turn off the comp and let it sit for a minute it will be fine. When I log back in and it works I notice that the nVidia control panel reset itself and now I can't get it to apply settings like it use to. From my view it looks like a normal overheat from the card with a driver malfunction. But the computer never crashes in game. And the crashes are random. Once while i was sleeping. Once I think while I went afk for 1 min and the comp was off but that might have been something else. Earlier today I had another kind of crash, the computer just went blank but not black. It went to the backgroundish color of the login screen. I have had my card for 3 months now and I don't know if the card could fail like that randomly. My computer has messed up a lot so I just bought new parts. If the computer does this crash again then it is my graphics card. I did download driver updates since the crash and it still happens.
